Hackersley's
goal is to produce a top quality red, one that will be regarded as a wine
not to bypass because of its fruit flavour and complexity. The vineyard
has been designed to support the fruit that is necessary to achieve this
objective.

We have just released our 2007 Shiraz and 2007 Cabernet Merlot.
Shiraz 2007
Aged in French and American
oak for 14 months, the 2007
Shiraz is perhaps one of the
best Hackersley has produced.
Rich in colour and texture,
the palate unfolds to deliver
lovely black fruit and chocolate
characters.
Cabernet Merlot
2007
A blend of the Hackersley Cabernet and Merlot to present a well balanced classical Australian styled wine. Rich fruit flavours and well balanced oak.Mediium
to full bodied wine.
Shiraz Cabernet Merlot 2006
The 2006 Victor is a beautifully balanced blend of our Shiraz, Cabernet and Merlot varieties and exhibits lively fruit characteristics of cherry, raspberry and nuances of plum. The wine sits comfortably on its fine tannins and a well structured oak base.”
Cabernet Sauvignon 2005
Lovely deep colours. Characteristic blackcurrant
and mulberry overtones of black
olive, dark chocolate and spices.
A harmonious and well-balanced
wine with fine grained tannins
and balanced acidity. Aged in
French oak for 18 months.
Merlot

Similar style to previous Merlots showing sweet
cedar and touches of violets
over blackberry and raspberry
fruit characters. A soft medium
to full bodied wine. Aged
in French and American Oak for
16 months.

2004 - Limited supply
This wine is gaining a reputation
as one of Australia’s
finest Merlots. James Halliday
rated it at 95/100!! This wine
exhibits similar characters
to the 2002 and 2003 with sweet
cedar and vanilla aromas complementing
underlying plum, blackberry
and raspberry characters.
Merlot
2003
This Merlot shows sweet
cedar and touches of violets
over blackberry and raspberry
fruit characters. A soft medium
to full bodied wine reminiscent
of its younger brother. Aged
in French and American Oak for
16 months. Top Merlot and silver
medal winner at the 2004 Qantas
Mt Barker Wine Show.

Excellent red-purple, deep but clear; a smoothly complex mix of cassis,
mulberry, cedar and spice on the bouquet, then an elegant but flavoursome
palate with ripe cassis and impeccable oak handling. Lovely wine, outstanding
